Brock Conway Stepping Up As Executive Director

Brock Conway is the newly appointed Executive Director of Loud Thunder International, Inc.
and will base operations out of Missoula, the organization is headquartered in Great Falls.

The priority of the Executive Director is to stabilize the organization through fund raising to support stated objectives of the organization.

Through the organization's work in the past year, the organization will continue to support the following:

  • Treaty restoration and recognition of the Chippewa people of the Rocky Boy original band of Chippewa, and the Ahonotays Band of Chippewa in the United States and Canada.
  • Taking the efforts of the organization international in focus.
  • Supporting the policy arm of the organization:  The Robert Gopher Policy Institute.
  • Working cooperatively with the Ahontoays Band on regional, national and international issues of significance to aboriginal people.
  • Climate change and the need for a clean domestic energy policy.
  • Working to establish tribal presence in trade delegations.
  • Job Creation.
  • Federal recognition.
  • Tribal disenrollment issues, both regional and nationwide.

In 2012 Conway, a veteran of the first Gulf War, took the focus of the organization from a regional organization to national and internationally focused organization.  He cultivated ties on a nationwide and international basis.  With the board of the organization, he will be conducting planning for the year ahead for the organization.
